Attended by over 300 hostel owners, managers and staff from all over the world, the annual Hostelworld.com Hoscars is the biggest trade event on the budget travel calendar. Being held in Dublin’s new state of the art Convention Centre on the River Liffey, the awards honour the top hostels in the world, as voted for by Hostelworld.com customers. These are based on reviews that users leave after staying in a hostel, rating hostels on Character, Security, Location, Staff, Fun and Cleanliness. Other awards are given out in categories such as ‘Best New Hostel’ and ‘Best Staff’.

This year’s conference, which is extra special since it’s the 10th anniversary, will be preceded by a conference which will also take place in the Convention Centre. The event will feature keynote speakers, giving talks on new trends and developments in the budget travel sector.

“Douro” digital Painting

 This is another one of my digital paintings, this time I used one of the most amazing photos of Matty Brown as a reference and to push the envelope a little more this time . The picture itself is in Porto (Portugal’s second main city) famous for it’s wine and local food, I have an aunt that lives a block from this very POV, Anyway it’s a beautiful city and I recomend it to anyone.

Red Fox Digital Painting

From a Site I’ve discovered earlier Project Noah, I have took an image as reference for my newest digital painting the red fox (Vulpes vulpes) I know it takes resemblance to the well known browser logo Firefox.

If you are a nature enthusiast like me I recommend you to register on the site and look for specimens, they got it covered, well mostly.

Skyrim Landscape digital painting

From postcards from skyrim I took an epic skyrim landscape and turned into a digital painting, click on it to see those gorgeous details.

Suffice to say, I used to be an artist like you then I took an nr 2 pencil in the knee.

I Love the game and I play a wood elf jack of all trades type of character, the way that I see it: if I am the dragonborn then all powers are to be mine all the skills, everything, no holding back, but surely I will start a new one once I end the main quests and try a different character approach it’s been a great experience and I just wanted to give something back to the community.

What’s wrong with Portugal

Taken from a fellow blogger, Luis Pedro Coelho, it’s a great and sharp analysis to the state of a nation, my nation, Portugal, I have never been that much inclined to post anything of a political nature in my blog just a mild rant here or there, until now… the way he addresses the social economical problems Portugal faces is note-worthy for all you people out there, and it’s all I ever felt, but never had the follow through or the articulacy to express my malcontent towards a beautiful country governed by petty thieves, but hey, it’s here now.
